Hundreds of foreign nationals (WNA) from various countries left Bali, Wednesday (18/8/2021) afternoon.
However, of the hundreds of tourists who left Bali, most of the residents came from Australia.
The head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Jamaruli Manihuruk, also spoke up. He emphasized that these foreigners were not evacuated but returned home normally.
“It’s not only Australian citizens who leave Bali, but there are some Indonesian citizens who have lived in Australia for a long time, also leaving Bali,” he said.
Immigration records, as many as 186 people left Bali, with details of 80 Indonesian citizens, 97 Australian citizens, two British citizens, one German foreigner, one Irish foreigner, three Syrian foreigners, one New Zealand foreigner and one Turkish foreigner.
Jamaruli denied that it was an evacuation, but admitted that the Australian government had participated in facilitating flying permits, including Indonesian citizens who had been living in Australia for a long time. “They left Bali on a commercial plane,” he said.
Those who leave Bali, have been checked according to the procedures applicable in Indonesia, such as conducting a PCR test and so on.
