Jakarta – Regarding pandemic conditions, the Directorate General of Immigration issued a new regulation to enter Indonesia for foreigners. Effective February 9, 2021N
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia, the Government of Indonesia has restricted travel for foreigners to Indonesian territory. The restriction of the traffic of people through immigration check gates is carried out based on the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2020 concerning the Temporary Prohibition of Foreigners from Entering the Territory of the Republic of Indonesia which is in effect since April 2, 2020 at 00.00 WIB until an undetermined time limit. Some who are allowed to enter include foreigners who have the following interests:
1. Service Visa
2. Diplomatic Visa
3. Visit Visa
4. Limited Stay Visa
5. Official Stay Permit
6. Diplomatic Stay Permit
7. Limited Stay Permit
8. Permanent Residence Permit
9. Crew of transportation equipment who arrive using their means of transportation
10. Foreigners holding KPP APEC
11. Traditional border crossers
12. In accordance with the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) bilateral agreement scheme and / or
13. Obtain special written consideration / permissions from the ministry / agency
Previously, the increasing COVID-19 curve in Indonesia made the Government prohibit foreigners from entering Indonesia at the beginning of the year until February 8, 2021. This is also a precautionary measure against reports of a mutation of the coronavirus found in the UK. Until now, the government is working hard to prevent these new mutated viruses from entering Indonesia.
