Immigration Director General Jhoni Ginting said this policy was created to respond to the latest dynamics of the spike in daily Covid-19 cases in India.
Jhoni Ginting explained that the refusal to enter Indonesian Territory applies to all foreigners who have a history of travel from Indian Territory within 14 days before entering Indonesian territory.
This policy was implemented to respond to the surge in corona cases that is currently happening in India. The Director-General (Dirjen) of Immigration Jhoni Ginting explained that entry prohibition applies to all foreigners who have a history of travel from Indian territory within 14 days before entering Indonesia territory.
Indonesia citizens who have been traveling or transiting from India in the last 14 days prior to entering Indonesia India, are allowed to arrive at only the following Indonesia port(TPI) :
1. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang;
2. Juanda International Airport, Surabaya;
3. Kualanamu International Airport, Medan;
4. Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado;
5. Batam Centre International Seaport, Batam;
6. Sri Bintan Pura International Seaport, Tanjung Pinang, and
7. Dumai International Seaport , Dumai.
For incoming Indonesia citizens, still have to follow strict health protocols according to the rules of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force and complete a 14-day quarantine and prove negative from Covid-19.
