Ngurah Rai Immigration will soon deport a Russian citizen who refuses to self-isolate

The Immigration Office is prepared to deport a female foreign national from Russia, AN, 33, who was detained by the Badung Regency Sat Pol PP officers from where she was staying at the Serenity Twin Hotel, Jalan Batu Mejan Banjar Padang Linjong, Canggu Village, North Kuta District, Badung, on Thursday (8 /7/2021) ago.

This afternoon, this Russian citizen has finished undergoing self-isolation and was also examined intensively by the Ngurah Rai Special Class I Immigration Office Investigator. She was escorted to the immigration office by the Badung Regency Sat Pol PP officers.

AN is a Russian citizen who is thought to be traveling in a positive condition for Covid-19 and refuses to undergo self-isolation. The head of the Badung Regency Satpol PP, I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara, explained that AN was known to be exposed to Covid-19 based on reports from a variety of agencies, including the Ngurah Rai Special Class I Immigration Office.

This Russian woman, said IGA Suryanegara, was exposed to Covid-19 after undergoing a PCR swab test at Udayana Hospital, last Sunday (4/7/2021). After being confirmed positive for Covid-19 based on the PCR swab test, this foreigner is suggested to undergo self-isolation at the hotel where she’s staying, namely the Serenity Twin Hotel, Canggu Village.

However, this foreign woman refuses to undergo self-isolation. AN actually often goes to public places and meets people, both within the hotel area and other locations in Badung.

“So, for 5 days since being confirmed positive for Covid-19, Anzhelika Naumenok remains hanging around. She doesn’t want to be isolated in her room. In fact, this Russian foreigner invites people to communicate,” said IGA Suryanegara.

Because she failed to heed the self-isolation and her actions endangered others, joint officers from elements of the Police, Immigration, Badung Health Service, and also the Badung PP Sat Pol immediately went down to secure AN from the hotel where she was staying. Next, she was taken to a quarantined hotel prepared by the Bali Provincial Government, namely the Ibis Hotel in Kuta, Badung.

According to Suryanegara, when the joint team tried to secure her from being quarantined at the Ibis Kuta Hotel, this foreigner had a bit of fun. She also refused the presence of officers at her hotel.

“Initially, at the location (Serenity Twin Hotel, ed) there were immigration officers and the Badung PP Sat Pol. However, AN did not want to be quarantined. She said the police had to be there, so this was immediately coordinated so that the police came to the location,” Suryanegara said.

When the police officers arrived, then the foreigner wanted to be taken to the Ibis Kuta Hotel to be quarantined. AN was evacuated using an ambulance. At the Ibis Kuta Hotel, this Russian Caucasian is undergoing quarantine with a number of Covid-19 patients with other mild symptoms.

This foreigner is known to have stayed at the Serenity Twins Hotel, Canggu village, for a month. Initially, these Russian Caucasians rarely socialized with other people. However, since being tested positive for Covid-19, he has been intensely meeting other foreigners. In fact, she left the hotel without wearing a mask.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Province of Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, emphasized that her party would take firm action against foreigners who violated it.

“Later, we will check medically first. We will wait for the team to investigate first. However, if there is a violation, it is clear that we will take action,” said Jamaruli.
