Multiple Entry Visa

The Indonesian government, under the Directorate General of Immigration, has released a regulation regarding the provision of 5-year Multiple Entry Visas with indexes D1 and D2 to facilitate foreign nationals entering Indonesia. A visa with an Index D1 category is issued for tourism purposes, and an Index D2 visa is to conduct official government, business, or commercial activities. Each has a stay limit of a maximum of 60 days upon arrival.

Even though this visa allows you to enter and exit Indonesia, you have a maximum stay of 60 days on each arrival and are mandatory to leave Indonesia after 60 days. You also have the option to extend the stay of this visa up to 2 times or a maximum of 180 days of stay (additional fees will apply).

Foreigners can use Multiple Entry Visa for:

  1. Attend as a participant at meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions.
  2. Conducting activities related to tourism
  3. Visiting friends or family.

Even though the Multiple Entry Visa has a long visa validity, you are required to leave Indonesia within a certain period of time. This visa may not be suitable for those of you who want to stay in Indonesia for a long time.
