Tanzanian Woman and Her Baby, Soon be Deported After 500 Days Overstayed in Bali
Denpasar – A Tanzanian woman named Glory Pius Nanai (28) and her baby named Galinda Kiril Valchev (5 months) were immediately deported by immigration authorities. They will be deported for overstay in Bali.
“The foreigner is subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and his name is included in the deterrence list because she has overstayed for more than 60 days and still in Indonesian territory,” said Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Kemenkumham) Bali Jamaruli Manihuruk in a written statement, Wednesday
(18/8/2021). Jamaruli explained, Glory Pius Nanai entered Indonesia on February 23, 2020 alone without being accompanied by her husband. Until now her husband is not in Indonesia.
She entered Indonesia using visa-free for a vacation and ended up staying in Bali for about 500 days. He could not return to her country because she was trapped because of the pandemic. She also ran out of after her maternity process.
The woman and her baby are still being held at the Denpasar Rudenim because the deportation has not yet been carried out, considering that she does not have a ticket to return to his home country.
